HOW WE SOLVED
LOW ENGAGEMENT IN SOCIAL MEDIA
IN THE FIRST YEAR WE GAVE AWAY SMALL GIFTS LIKE CHOCTAILS BUT SINCE EVERYONE LOVED THE GAME, WE TURNED IT INTO A YEARLY WINTER TRADITION AND CONTINUED EVERY YEAR.
In 2016, one of our hotel partners had problems to reflect their characteristics in their social media channels. The 4 star hotel was great in gastronomy and served 80% regular guests who were coming for many years.
These customers were enjoying the hotel very much but on the social media side there was an obvious lack of engagement.
HOW WE SOLVED THE TASK
CLiK Social worked on a photo contest game which boomed the engagement.
Starting in the 2017 Winter, we asked 10 weeks in a row about specific photos of a concept such as Family, Friends, food, sea...
Every week 50-200 photos were uploaded to join the weekly contest and all were related to holidays in that very same hotel.
Thanks to this contest we succeeded in achieving a great engagement. We led customers to go and look for photos which means that we triggered them to look back to nice holiday memories.
Many customers started commenting on each other or writing nice memories under their own photos. In the first year we gave away small gifts like choctails but since everyone loved the game, we turned it into a yearly winter tradition and continued every year.
EVERY WEEK 50-200 PHOTOS WERE UPLOADED TO JOIN THE WEEKLY CONTEST AND ALL WERE RELATED TO HOLIDAYS IN THAT VERY SAME HOTEL
As of the second year we started to give social points to the winners and also added a few other games.
Customers were able to participate in many games to collect points which they could use at their next visit.
Thanks to this we guaranteed long term engagement and also more willingness to re-visit the hotel.
